About Us
I’m Emma and I founded ‘Somers Training & Consultancy’ because I identified a need for a more empathetic approach to diversity training based upon a blend of experiential learning and evidential research. As a Veteran, I served 26 years in the British Army retiring as an Officer in 2022. My academic and professional experience enables me to naturally engage with an audience which fosters an open culture of learning for your workplace. I have always been passionate about promoting equality and inclusivity, both in the workplace and every aspect of my life. As a transgender woman, I not only have lived experience of being part of the LGBTQ+ community but also hold the unique perspective of understanding both ends of the gender spectrum.
